Necessary technologies
JurisLane preference storage
We store jurislane.analytics-consent.v1 in your browser's local storage so the site can remember whether you allowed or rejected analytics. It remains until you change the setting or clear site data.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare delivers and protects the public site. It may set security cookies when a protection is enabled or triggered. For example, __cf_bm supports bot protection and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. cf_clearance can record that a browser passed a security challenge; its default lifetime is 30 minutes and may follow the site's configured challenge-passage period. These technologies are used for security rather than advertising.
Clerk
Clerk supports account entry and authenticated sessions. Production authentication can use __client on Clerk's frontend API domain for the session lifetime, subject to browser expiry limits, and the short-lived __session cookie on JurisLane. Clerk documents the session token as expiring after 60 seconds and refreshing while the session remains active. These cookies are not analytics cookies.
Optional analytics
After you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set _ga to distinguish users and _ga_<container-id> to maintain session state. Google documents a default expiry of two years for both, subject to browser limits and deletion of site data. Analytics runs only on public pages and does not receive free-tool entries, account identifiers, Agent messages, file names, company names, or debt amounts.
Managing browser data
You can use Cookie settings on this site or your browser controls. Blocking necessary account cookies may prevent sign-in or authenticated workspace features from working.
